FROM MONDAY 13TH JUNE THE SPECIAL TV REPORT ON MOTORS TV.

THE TOP DRIVERS OF THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP PASS THE HARD EXAM OF ADRIA.

There could not be a better test than the CIK-FIA European Champ at the Adria Karting Raceway last weekend to test the skills of the drivers. Standings changed sensibly at the end of a series of uncertain races, made even more uncertain and eventful by the unpredictable weather condition: light and sudden showers, typical in this period of the year. Those who managed to handle this complicated situation are those who eventually achieved the best result and that now have gained a preeminent position in the standings. Gaps are now much narrower, when there are still two rounds remaining in the OK and OKJ and the last round of the KZ2, scheduled at the end of July. Before that date, fans will be able to enjoy the special TV report on Motors TV, with highlights of the event. Broadcast is scheduled from 13th to 23rd June.

BASZ KEEPS THE LEADERSHIP IN OK.
The thrilling OK Final in Adria increased the number of close pursuers behind the leader, Karol Basz (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega). The Polish is still in first position with 76 points, but now there are many more opponents ready to take over the leadership. The American Logan Sargeant (FA Kart-Vortex) and the English Tom Joyner (Zanardi-Parilla) could have more than the 68 and 61 points they have if they had not lost the chance to win in the last bends of the race. So, success went to the Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG-Parilla) who, thanks to this victory in Adria, is now in fourth position with 56 points. On the other hand, the Dutch Bent Viscaal (Tony Kart-Vortex) dropped from third to fifth after a troublesome final. Next appointment in two weeks’ time in Portugal.

WATT IS THE FRONTRUNNER IN OK JUNIOR.
Despite he didn’t race an outstanding final, the Danish Noah Watt is still the leader in OKJ with 77 points. The Swedish Isac Blomqvist (both on Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) is in third position with 73 points thanks to the third place scored in Adria: he is very close to the leader and there are great expectations for a thrilling next round in Portimao. Moreover, the Brazilian Caio Collet (BirelArt-Parilla) is eager to recover from his current fourth position (with 59 points) given that he didn’t score any points in the Final. Same consideration for the English Finlay Kenneally (FA Kart-Vortex), fifth, who could not show his potential last Sunday. The Spanish David Vidales (Tony Kart-Vortex) is in strong ascent: after his victory in Adria he is now fifth with 56 points.

FEDERER IS THE NEW LEADER IN KZ2.
In KZ2 the leadership changed after Fabian Federer’s (CRG-Modena-Vega) undisputed victory. The Italian driver overtook all his rivals from the 5. position and took over the leadership with 85 points. Also the Dutch Stan Pex (CRG-Vortex) did well and he is now 3 points behind the new leader thanks to a well-deserved 2. place. Bittersweet 3. place - with 70 points - for the Italian Alex Irlando (Energy-TM), who aimed at something more than the 4. place he scored in the Final. Bad luck for the Italian Luca Corberi, who lost the head of the standings and dropped back to 4. ahead of his fellow countryman Leonardo Lorandi (both on Tony Kart-Vortex). The last, decisive round in Genk (B) on 31st July.
