TOMORROW THE LIVE STREAMING ON CIKFIACHAMPIONSHIP.COM. AND CIKFIA.TV

SURPRISES AND SPECTACULAR RACES LIVE IN STREAMING FROM PORTIMAO.

It was a rather complicated qualifying session the one which took place today in Portimao (P). The facility of the Portuguese town is hosting the CIK-FIA European Championship, which has arrived at its last but one round of the season. The 152 entrants of the OK and OK Junior and of the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy, arrived in Portimao from 46 different countries from all around the world, took part today in the Qualifying session and in the Heats, which will establish the starting grids of the Prefinals and the Finals on Sunday 26th. Today’s protagonists were the most interesting names of international kart racing. There was also room for some unexpected surprises: that’s a further reason to follow tomorrow’s live streaming on cikfia.tv and cikfiachampionship.com. The broadcast starts at 10.15 with the drivers’ parade.

MARTA GARCIA LEADS IN THE OK.
Those aiming at the European title will necessarily have to deal with the 15-year-old Spanish Marta Garcia (EvoKart-Parilla-Vega), who set the best time in Qualifying and then, in the afternoon, won in both the Qualifying Heats. The Spaniard’s great performance brought her to the front row of the Prefinal. Next to her, in second position, the English Ben Hanley (Croc-TM), who placed second and third in the Heats. The Spanish Pedro Hiltband (CRG-Parilla) is in great shape and conquered the second row. Next to him the current leader, the Polish Karol Basz (Kosmic-Vortex), who found himself surrounded by a pack of strong opponents, all in good position to launch their attack to the title.

KENNEALLY ATTACKS IN THE OK JUNIOR.
In OKJ, the British Finlay Kenneally (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) attacks from his fourth position and grabs the pole thanks to his three victories in the heats. Next to him, in the front row of Prefinal 1, the French Gillian Henrion (Kosmic-Vortex), excellent outsider. The pole in the Pre-final 2 was achieved by the Australian Oscar Piastri (FA Kart-Vortex); the second slot will be filled by his team-mate, the Moroccan Sami Taoufik. The Danish Noah Watt (Tony Kart-Vortex), the current leader of the category, will have to fight hard to gain the head of the race from the second row of the starting grid of the Prefinal 1, behind Kenneally. Next to Watt, the Swedish Isac Blomqvist (Tony Kart-Vortex), second of the standings.

IN THE ACADEMY TROPHY THE SURPRISE IS HANDSAEME.
The Belgian Xavier Handsaeme won two heats in the Academy Trophy and conquered the pole, beating into second position the current leader, the English Callum Bradshaw. The Swedish Alfred Nilsson and the Norwegian Emil Heyerdahl are in second row and ready to take over the leadership.
