SPECIAL TV REPORT AFTER THE RACE ON MOTORS TV.

THE WORLD CIK-FIA KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP ENDS IN THE EAST.

The world of karting moves to Bahrain, to the archipelagos of the Arabian Gulf, to ‘elect’ its OK and OK Junior Champions. The circuit in Sakhir, set next to the circuit which hosts the Bahrain F1 GP, will be the venue of the event. The 1414-metre long track of the Bahrain International Circuit will host the World CIK-FIA OK and OK Junior Championship for the second time from 16th to 19th November. Bahrain hosted the second out of two rounds of the World Championship three years ago. Instead, in 2016, the Middle-Eastern kingdom will be the sole protagonist of the race to the world title. All the junior drivers who took part in the last season of international karting are going to meet there for a last challenge. The event is part of the Bahrain Motorsport Festival, which also includes the 6 Hours of Bahrain, the last appointment of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Besides the show on track, the weekend will be full of entertaining events: concerts, live shows which will make this last CIK-FIA appointment, promoted by WSK Promotion, simply unforgettable.

NIGHT IMAGES FROM THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN BAHRAIN.
The top event of the year will be available live in streaming on www.cikfiachampionship.com and www.cikfia.tv: both the websites, from Saturday 19th November afternoon, will stream the whole day programme, from the drivers’ parade until the Finals, all under the fascinating lights of the fantastic lighting system of the facility. After the event, don’t miss the usual TV appointment with Motors TV and the special TV report with the recap of the whole weekend from the Middle-East.

CHAMPIONS ON TRACK.
The World Karting Championship has taken place since 1964 and it has always been the traditional closing event of the season. The first official edition was in 1964 and it has been awarded without interruption 51 times before this year’s edition, which is the number 52. In the first edition, hosted by the city of Milan, Guido Sala, born in1928, won the first of his two World titles on a 100 cc Tecno-Parilla kart. The OK has substituted today the 100 cc category, which was regarded as the top category of international karting since its debut. The reigning World Champion is the Polish Karol Basz, who won in Muro Leccese in the KF category last year. There are 145 entrants – 47 in the OK and 98 in the OK Junior – led by the new European Champions of the categories: the Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG-Parilla-Vega, OK) and the British Finlay Kenneally (FA-Vortex-Vega, OK Junior).
