ON SATURDAY 19TH NOVEMBER THE FINAL DAY LIVE IN STREAMING ON CIKFIACHAMPIONSHIP.COM AND CIKFIA.TV. SPECIAL TV REPORT ON MOTORS TV.

SAKHIR BY NIGHT READY TO WELCOME THE CIK-FIA GREAT FINALE.

Bahrain is hosting, this weekend, the CIK-FIA World Championship of the OK and OK Junior categories. The event will enjoy the fascinating atmosphere of Middle-East by night. The Championship, in fact, takes place at night and it is the final appointment of the karting season. The World 2016 Titles will be awarded next Saturday and they will be the last titles of a list which started last September in Kristianstad, in Sweden, with the KZ Championship won by the Italian Paolo De Conto (CRG-TM-Vega). So, only the non-gearbox categories are still waiting for their new leaders. Among the frontrunners we need to mention the Spanish Pedro Hiltband (CRG-Parilla-Vega), the OK European Champion and winner of the CIK-FIA International KZ2 Super Cup; then the English Finlay Kenneally (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), the OKJ European Champion, and Callum Bradshaw (Exprit-Vortex-Vega), another British driver whose success in the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy allowed him to take part in the OKJ World Championship.

“RACING BROTHERS” IN SAKHIR.
The circuit in Sakhir welcomed this morning the participants of a weekend dedicated to friendship between the drivers of two of the categories at the top of Motorsport: from the 6 Hours of Bahrain, last round of the World Endurance Championship, the Prototype and GT cars drivers met their younger mates of karting under the famous tower overlooking the Bahrain International Circuit. Many drivers of the WEC recalled their past experiences in karting; among them the Dutch Giedo van der Garde, winner of the World Championship in Muro Leccese (Italy) in 2002.

THE LIVE STREAMING FROM BAHRAIN.
The video cameras of WSK Production are ready for the live streaming from Sakhir on the web channels www.cikfia.tv and www.cikfiachampionship.com. The two channels will stream, on Saturday 19th November afternoon, the event starting from the drivers’ parade. The night lighting will make more attractive the Finals, which will be summarized by Motors TV channel, during the special TV report at the end of the weekend in the Middle East.

TRAVISANUTTO (OK) AND VIDALES (OKJ) IN POLE POSITION.

The first top performances of the Championship were put up by the Spanish David Vidales in OKJ and by the Italian Lorenzo Travisanutto in OK (both on TonyKart- Vortex-Vega), who conquered the Pole at the end of today’s Qualifying. The Spaniard stopped the clock at 51”848, only 4 milliseconds ahead of the Moroccan Sami Taoufik (FA-Vortex-Vega). With 51”894 Théo Pourchaire (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega) set the third time, two milliseconds ahead of the Russian Ilya Morozov (TonyKart-Vortex-Vega). Travisanutto, in OK, was the fastest thanks to his 50”001, 8 hundredths of a second better than the Swedish Noah Milell (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega). Third time for the Russian Alexander Smolyvar (TonyKart-Vortex-Vega) in 50”118, ahead of the Finnish Juho Valtanen (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega), fourth with 50”170. Tomorrow the Heats.
